What Mississippi asks for
RN- No mandatory CE hours for routine renewal. Nurses out of practice >5 years must demonstrate continuing basic nursing competency; one option is 20 contact hours of nursing-related CE completed within the previous 2 years LPN – No mandatory CE hours for routine renewal. APRN - 5 contact hours of controlled-substance CE per certification period. If DEA-registered, complete the one-time 8-hour federal MATE Act training
