What Maryland asks for
RN – 30 contact hours of continuing education every 2 years. 30 hours can be met through 30 hours of CE courses, 1,000 hours of nursing practice within 5 years, Completion of a nursing degree from an approved program within 5 years APRN – no fixed CE requirement, APRN - One time 2-hour Implicit Bias Training, or one-time 2-hour Structural Racism Training, one-time 2-hour prescribing/dispensing controlled dangerous substances, 25 pharmacology hours every 5 years – all approved by ANCC
