- Florida uses CE Broker to track CE. General renewal normally requires 24 hours, but mandatory subject areas are included within/additional to the general requirement depending on the specific renewal cycle. Domestic Violence is required every third biennium and is in addition to the 24 hours. Nurses newly licensed by examination or endorsement have special first-renewal requirements and are exempt from the general CE hours for that first renewal. (Florida Nursing)
